Gallery 93 Exhibit: Parrish Dobson, In Between: Photographs from Across a Bay

Brookline, Massachusetts, Gallery 93 at the Brookline Senior Center is pleased to present

In Between: Photographs from Across a Bay by artist Parrish Dobson. The exhibit runs from Sept 16 – through Nov 21, 2024. A reception for the artists will be held on Thursday Oct 10 from 1:30-3:00 pm with an artists’ talk held at 2:00 pm. Gallery 93, located at 93 Winchester Street, Brookline, MA, is open from 8:30-5:00, Monday through Friday.

Photographer Parrish Dobson explores time and change in her work. She brings two series of work to Gallery 93 for exhibition: one investigates the constant change in ocean views. The other is a series of still lifes of antique kitchen and garden tools, entitled “The Touch of a Distant Hand.” Although distinct, in both series we find a meditation on the nature of time – be it taking in an endless horizon of sky and water or in reflecting on objects and memories they may hold. Of the “In Between” portfolio, she states: “This series offers a kind of visual meditation on time, change, the beauty and power of the ocean, and the truly remarkable fact that we are always in the midst of an enormous and ongoing mystery.”
