A 19th Century Brookline Landscape and the Meandering Tale of a Cape Cod Shipwreck

A 19th Century Brookline Landscape and the Meandering Tale of a Cape Cod Shipwreck marked Brookline and dated 1872. That simple query led to an incredible story involving a Cape Cod shipwreck, an Italian sailor, and a former Underground Railroad house in Brookline. The wandering tale even had distant connections to Charles Dickens and to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. On Wednesday, January 22 at 1pm, join Brookline Historical Society president Ken Liss to learn about this sketch and the unraveling of the tale it told.
